1903 (31 March) ledger sheet piece (170x325mm.) headed "Appendix A", "Ceylon, Regn. 130/01" bearing fifteen bicoloured imperforate colour trials inscribed "stamp duty" for values 5c. (8), and 25c. (7), each with manuscript annotations to left giving the issued denomination for the particular colour combination. Also, at foot, manuscript "Approved" above typewritten label "This scheme of colours was approved by Sir William Mercer on April 2nd, 1903".
