1887 Surcharges: De la Rue "Appendix A" sheet bearing proposals for the new surcharges with "Alternative modes of overprinting" of the lower values, each with diagonal, manuscript "Cancelled" in black ink. Headed "NB. The 50, the 25, and the 10 Piastres would be treated in the same way as the 5 Piastres. The 2 Piastres would be treated in the same way as the 1 Piastre and the Dimes, as shown below". With correction notes by Major Arthur Bagnold. Fine and desirable. Photo
