1897 (21 July) envelope to Catford, London bearing 1891-1904 2d. and 4d. tied by "1052" barred oval with a fine strike of "palapye station/b.p." alongside with manuscript notation "recd last post Saturday 14/8/97"; some light soiling. Also 1897 (28 June) envelope from the same correspondence bearing 1891-1904 6d. tied by a superb strike of "palapye station/b.p." with a second strike alongside, the reverse with Mafeking (30.6) and London (26.7) c.d.s A good pair of covers. British Bechuanaland stamps used in the Protectorate.
