1894 (23 Jan.) "Cooper's Dip" advertising envelope to Cape Town and redirected to Port Elizabeth, bearing 1891-1904 4d. vertical pair tied by unclear strikes of "676" barred oval and showing "palapye" c.d.s. alongside (Proud D2) plus handstruck "2d" for redirection, the reverse bearing Vryburg (29.1) and Port Elizabeth (2.2.) c.d.s. Note the date error "JY" for "JA" in the despatch c.d.s. British Bechuanaland stamps used in the Protectorate. Photo
