Puzey Correspondence: 1892 (18 June) Arthur Puzey envelope to his mother in East London "via Salisbury" bearing 4d. lilac and black tied by Macloutsi c.d.s. and used in combination with Rhodesia 6d. blue cancelled by indistinct barred oval, the reverse with further despatch c.d.s., unnamed Umtali c.d.s. code "C", Vryburg (25.7) and East London arrival (28.7). The unnamed c.d.s. is thought to have been used on mail carried along the Selous Road and are probably the first datestamps used in Rhodesia, code "C" was used in Umatali
