Sold together with booklet No. 834638, in the name of Pavel Michaelovich Zernov/Sheranov. The award booklet also confirms the Order of the Red Star (No. 615132), the Order of the October Revolution (No. 30269), the Order of the Red Banner (No. 293519) and the Order of the Red Banner for Labour (No. 432211)
If the recipient was Pavel Mikhailovich Zernov, he was born on 19 January 1905 and rose to be Lieutenant-General of the Technical-Engineering Service. From 1938-46 he was Deputy Head of Main Tractor Industry Directorate, being Deputy People's Commissar of the Tank Industry from 1942-45. Head of Atomic Testing Centre KB-11 from 1946-51, he died on 7 February 1964.
