Autograph letter to an unknown recipient expressing his hope that “you will have Command of a Ship before the Summer is elapsed”, written and signed by Saumarez at Guernsey, dated 19 March 1810, ageing and stains, text is otherwise legible; Autograph letter addressed to Captain de Havilland discussing matters of patronage, written and signed by Saumarez aboard H.M.S. Victory, dated 24 April 1812, with remnants of red wax seal, minor paper loss from seal to reverse, text legible; Sworn affidavit signed by Saumarez, dated 4 May 1821, some paper residue to reverse and evidence of old paper clips; Together with four attractive portrait prints of Saumarez, these with some ageing but overall in good clear condition (7)
