(x) An 1805-Pattern Royal Navy officer's sword, featuring a straight steel blade, by Salter, Sword Cutler to H.R.H. the Duke of Sussex, decorated with the Royal Coat of Arms, Trophies of Arms, a Crown and Fouled Anchor, and angels bearing laurel crowns and banners, all enhanced in gilt, gilded brass guard with lion's head pommel, Fouled Anchors engraved to both langets, ivorine grip bound in copper wire, overall length 940mm, chip to grip under lion's mouth, otherwise an exceptionally good-quality example of this iconic pattern, good very fine
Sold together with an associated sword knot in gold wire and bullion tassels with dark-blue centre.
