(x) Army of India 1799-1826, 1 clasp, Ava (J. Horne, 1st Foot.), short-hyphen reverse, officially impressed naming, heavy edge bruise, otherwise good very fine

John Horne was born at Hereford circa 1795. He was discharged from the 2nd Battalion, 1st Foot at the age of 40 years old after 27 years' service, 13 years of which was served in India. It was noted he intended to reside at Bishops Stortford.
