Golden Jubilee of Victoria, Official 'Large' AR Medal, by J. E. Boehm for the Royal Mint, 1887, VICTORIA REGINA ET IMPERATRIX, crowned and veiled bust left, rev. IN . COMMEMORATION, enthroned figure of Empire, facing, flanked by standing figures of Science, Letters and Art, opposite those of Industry and Agriculture. At their feet, below Empire, are Mercury, reclining, and Time. Above, two cherubs displaying shields, five linked shields, inscribed ASIA AMERICA EUROPE AUSTRALASIA and AFRICA in exergue, 214.64g, 77mm (Eimer 1733; BHM 3219), light wispy hairlines to fields, otherwise with a pleasing cameo definition and brilliant to lightly toned grey-blue surfaces, much as struck and in original Royal Mint case of issue
