George II (1727-1760), LIMA Shilling, 1745, old laureate, cuirassed and draped bust left, LIMA below, rev. crowned cruciform shields, seven strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 6.02g, 6h (ESC 1205; Bull 1724; S.3703), touch of softness, otherwise most vibrantly toned, very fine; another, 'Roses' Sixpence, 1741, young laureate, cuirassed and draped bust left, rev. crowned cruciform shields, roses in angles, seven strings to harp, 2.96g, 6h (ESC1613; Bull 1751; S.3709), bright and touch of softness to portrait, otherwise with a residual lustre and lightly toned, pleasing very fine (2)
