NGC Ch VF | Seleukid Kingdom of Syria, Antiochos VI Dionysos (145-142 BC), AR Tetradrachm, Antioch-on-the-Orontes, dated SE 169 = 145-144 BC, diademed and radiate head right, rev. BASILEOS ANTIOXOY, EPIPHANOUS DIONYSOY, the Dioskouri galloping left, date below left, TRY above XA monogram right, all within wreath of laurel, ivy and grain ears, 15.82g (SC 2000.1f; SMA 230; Houghton 232; HGC 9, 1032), some scratches, flan slightly short, die-flaw to top of reverse, otherwise bold and good fine to about very fine, rare for this date and monogram, in an NGC 'Ancients' holder, graded Choice Very Fine ~ Smoothing (Strike: 5/5, Surface: 2/5) [NGC Cert. #8221846-003]
