Roman Empire, Marcus Aurelius (AD 161-180), AR Denarii (4): i) Rome, struck 179, M AVREL ANTONINVS AVG, laureate and draped bust right, rev. TR P XXXIII IMP X COS III, Fortuna seated left, holding cornucopiae and rudder, 3.22g (RIC 402 var.; BMC 788 var.; Lliria Hoard: 39156: https://www.mupreva.org/nomisma/id/es/39156)), verdigris to portrait, but otherwise good fine to very fine, lustrous and with an unusual bust variety; ii) another, as before, struck 179, laureate head right, rev. TR P XXXIII IMP X COS III, Mars standing right with spear and shield, 2.22g (RIC 406; BMC 786), slight wear to surfaces, fine; iii) another, as before, struck 179, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. TR P XXXIII IMP X COS III, Victory standing left on globe, holding trophy and wreath, 3.12g (RIC 404 var. (draped and cuirassed, plain drapery); BMC 791 var. (same)), spots of corrosion, about fine; iv) another, as before, M ANTONINVS AVG, laurel head right, rev. COS III P P, Salus seated left, holding branch, snake rising from ground to left, 2.94g (RIC 425 var.; BMC 696 var. (obverse legend as BMC 691)), near very fine, deposits and verdigris to portrait; (4).
