Roman Empire, Antoninus Pius (AD 138-161), AR Denarii (5): i) Rome, IMP T AEL CAES HADR ANTONINVS, bare head right, rev. AVG PIVS P M TR P COST II, Fortuna standing left, holding cornucopiae and rudder, 2.83g (RIC 22a; BMC 52 var. (drapery on right shoulder)), spots of corrosion, about very fine, rare; ii) Faustina the Elder, FAVSTINA AVGVSTA, draped bust of Faustina right, holding patera and sceptre, peacock to left, rev. IVNONI REGINAE, Juno standing left, 3.23g (RIC 338; BMC 136), near fine; iii) another, as before, 2.73g, near fine; iv) Antoninus Pius, ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P COS III, laureate head right, rev. AEQVITAS AVG, Aequitas standing left, holding sceptre and scales, 3.15g (RIC 61c; BMC 173), verdigris and wear to reverse, fair to good; v) another, as before, rev. CONCORDIA AVG, Concordia standing left, resting on column, holding cornucopiae and patera, 2.81g (RIC 66; BMC 202; cf. Hadrian RIC 2571), near very fine; (5).
