Roman Empire, Titus (AD 79-81), AR Denarius of the deified Vespasian, Rome, struck c. 80-81, DIVVS AVGVSTVS VESPASIANVS, laureate head of the deified Vespasian right, rev. empty quadriga advancing left, car ornamented with figures of Minerva advancing left, brandishing spear, and surmounted by statuette of quadriga flanked by Victories holding palm fronds and wreaths, EX S C in exergue, 2.86g (RIC 361; BMC 119), an unfortunate deposit to portrait, otherwise a nice example of a popular type, near very fine
