Roman Empire, Vespasian (AD 69-79), AR Denarii (3): i) Rome, IMP CAES VESP AVG P M laureate head right, rev. TRI POT II COS III P P, Pax seated left, holding branch and caduceus, 3.02g (RIC 41), some deposits, fine; ii) another, struck 71, IMP CAES VESP AVG P M, laureate head right, rev. Vesta seated left, holding simpulum, PON-MAX across fields, 2.86g (RIC 45, BMC 55), nice portrait, but inscriptions and reverse flattened, fine; iii) another, struck 71, as before but with TRI-POT across reverse fields, 2.58g (RIC 46), softened, but no deposits, fine (3).
