South America Flight Zeppelin singles tied to cover paying only 8M (rate was 10M) to the United States, tied by "Friedrichshafen/(Bodensee)/18. 5. 30" c.d.s., red German flight cachet, backstamped Lakehurst, then two U.S. 65c Zeppelin singles tied by "New York, N.Y./Sta. J/May 31, 1930" duplexes for the return flight with violet American return flight cachet, backstamped Friedrichshafen, a rare and unusual round-trip cover using these two countries' Zeppelin franking to pay the postage.
