Jordan, Hashemite Kingdom, Gratitude Medal 1970, 36mm, gilded base metal, some flaking to paint on obverse, otherwise very fine

The Jordanian Gratitude Medal was awarded to approximately 180 Officers and men of 18 units deployed in 'Operation Shoveller' in Jordan in 1970. The International Committee of the Red Cross provided relief action post 'Black September' in 1970 Jordan.
