Illuminated Second World War Condolence Scroll, glued to a thin card backing, sold together with a photograph album and portrait photograph, slight staining, very fine overall
Catherine Margaret Robinson was born in 1921, the daughter of George and Margaret Robinson, and enlisted into the Women's Auxiliary Air Force with the number 456854. She served as a batwoman at No. 1 Personnel Holding Unit but caught pneumonia and was admitted to the R.A.F. Hospital at Ely, Cambridgeshire. Robinson died there on 5 October 1946 and was buried at St. Pancras Cemetery in North London.
