Walter Francis Larrington was born at Holbeach, Lincolnshire in 1899 and joined the Royal Household in December 1919, becoming a member of the farm staff at the Sandringham Estate. He remained there for at least 40 years, taking his Medal in December 1939, adding the 30 Year Service clasp in December 1949 and the 40 Year Service clasp in December 1959. During 1939 he was living at Wolferton with his wife and was listed as a lorry driver on the Estate. Larrington died in July 1968 at Kings Lynn.
