(x) Royal Observer Corps L.S. & G.C., E.II.R., with two extra service bars (Chief Observer A. O. Davies), good very fine

Alan Owen Davies was born on 10 February 1934 and enrolled into the Royal Observer Corps on the 1 December 1954. He served in 13 Group, based at Laugharne, Dyfed, Wales, from 1954 to 1990 completing 36 years of service. He was awarded his medal in 1967 and received his first bar in 1978 and his second bar in 1990. Davies was presented with a Lord Lieutenant's Certificate of Merit during 1991 and was stood down on 30 September 1991; sold with copied service records.
