Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society, General Medal, silver (To P.C. 202E (Ro Brockbank) for gallant service. 2nd March 1918), good very fine, in its case of issue

Richard Brockbank was a Constable with the Liverpool Police and was awarded his medal for gallantry at Alexandra Dock, Liverpool on 2 March 1918. Attempted Air Raids on Britian in early March 1916 were postponed due to bad weather, it is likely as a result of this weather that Brockbank was forced to commit his act of bravery.
