An unusual Mercantile Marine War Medal awarded to J. T. Mayers, a native of Demerara, British Guiana

Mercantile Marine War Medal 1914-18 (Josephefus T. Mayers), good very fine

Josephefus Theopalis Mayers was born at Demerara in 1897, he was noted as a Steward aboard the Comrie Castle in January 1920 arriving in London from Mauritius. While there he was issued his medals on 3 February 1920; sold together with copied passenger list and M.I.C.
