British War Medal 1914-20 (230152 F. Way. A.B. R.N.), very fine

Frederick Way was born at Paddington, London on 2 August 1887 and joined the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class in 1905. He was posted to H.M.S. Hydra in 1913 and served with her until August 1916, taking part in the Battle of Jutland. Way was discharged to shore on 5 March 1919 with a war gratuity. He joined the Royal Fleet Reserve the next day; sold together with a copy of his service record.
