India General Service 1854-95, 1 clasp, Hazara 1891 (1555 Pte. J. Doyle 1st Bn. R.W.Fus.), pawn broker's mark to edge, otherwise good very fine

James Doyle was born in Birkenhead, Chester and worked as a labourer prior to attesting with the Royal Welch Fusiliers at age 23 on 22 August 1886 at Liverpool. He was posted to India where he disembarked from the Euphrates on 1 September 1888. Whilst in India he participated in the Hazara expedition of 1891, and remained there until returning home on 27 March 1894. Doyle was later discharged on 20 August 1898; sold together with copied research.
