(x) China: Tientsin 1st Chinese Regiment cap/turban badge, circa 1900, brass, with crude pin and catch fitting to reverse, very fine, rare

The 1st Chinese Regiment was formed in 1898 by brevet Major Hamilton Bower, and was later disbanded in 1902. A squadron of the Regiment was posted to Tientsin on 24 June 1900 to fight in the Boxer Rebellion, during which the unit was involved in the relief of Tientsin and the relief of Peking.
