Robert Bamber a native of Accrington was born in 1868 and enlisted in the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment on 31 August 1886, he was discharged from the army on 31 August 1907.This his only medal entitlement.

Edwin John Lake was a 19-year-old clerk from London when he enlisted in the Royal Engineers on 8 August 1876. Awarded his Long Service & Good Conduct Medal in 1903 without gratuity he was discharged on 8 May 1904 as a Serjeant-Major-Instructor having qualified as an electrician during his service. This his only medal entitlement.

Horace Rowland Merwood was born at Portsmouth in 1903 and was a scholar when he enlisted in the Royal Artillery on 2 January 1917. He was discharged on 8 February 1949.
