M.C. London Gazette 1 January 1918.

Frederick Edward Marston was commissioned into the Royal Engineers in February 1915, served in France from 11 June 1915, and was advanced Lieutenant in July 1915. He was 'mentioned' (London Gazette 18 May 1917) and took his M.C., having served in France and Italy duing the Great War, being made Major on 8 November 1918; sold together with original Commissioning Document, M.I.D. Certificate and War Office letter, dated 21 December 1923 confirming his appointments and awards.
