Robert Tweedie Horsburgh was born at Cape Town and enlisted into the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (S.A.) on 25 September 1915 and was given the service number 55. He served in South West Africa and was entitled to a 1914-15 Star trio. His 1914-15 Star was despatched on 17 October 1920 and his British War and Victory Medal pair were dispatched on 24 October 1923.
Allen Lloyd M. Herbert enlisted into the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (S.A.) Durban at Cape Town on 14 May 1916 and was part of "C" Company at Durban, he was given the service number 48.
P. J. Smith served with the Cape Town Defence Rifle Association performing Garrison Duty at Simonstown, his dates of service were from 18 August 1915 to March 1919; sold together with copied service papers.
