Charles Green was born in 1903 near Wantage, Berkshire and there attested as a Private with the 1st Royal Berkshire Regiment in October 1921. In March 1924 the unit was en route to Razmark, Waziristan, from which they departed for Lahore the following year. Green was discharged to the Army Reserve in March 1929, and discharged from the Army Reserve at Warwick in 1933; sold together with copied medal roll.

Prem Chand was a Water Carrier for the 1st Royal Berkshire Regiment.
