Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 2 clasps, Transvaal, Orange Free State (2856 Pte. J. Meeney. E. Lanc: Regt.), very fine

James Meeney was a 19 year old porter when he enlisted in the East Lancashire Regiment at Burnley. Also entitled to the clasps Cape Colony and South Africa 1901, a man of the same name enlisted for service in the Great War however there is no evidence they are the same man; sold together with copied research.
