Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 2 clasps, Orange Free State, Relief of Ladysmith (3514 Pte J. H. Gidley, Devon: Regt.), good very fine

J. H. Gidley served with the 2nd Battalion, Devonshire Regiment and died of disease at Sanderton on 19 February 1901, though he was the only man to die that day the Battalion lost eleven that month; sold together with a copied casualty roll.
