Khedive's Sudan 1896-1908, no clasp (J. M. Delaney, Ship's Cook, H.M.S. Scout 1896), impressed naming, good very fine

A total of 288 Khedive's Sudan medals were issued to the crews of H.M.S. Melita and Scout.

H.M.S. Scout was stationed in the Red Sea during the Dongola Operations of 1896 and the crew were issued with Khedive's Sudan medals, unnamed, as a result. The captain of the ship is said to have had the medals issued to his ship's company impressed after they were issued in Malta.
