Lawson Jones was born at Lye, Worcestershire in 1896 and worked as a Motor Driver prior to enlisting on 5 July 1916 with the Army Service Corps. Entering the War in France on 29 November 1916 with the 1st Cavalry Supply Column and served there until 28 March 1917 when he joined a Field Ambulance unit as a Driver. He was demobilised on 6 February 1920; sold together with a copied photograph.

Edward William Jones was a native of Ruthin, Denbighshire, Wales and enlisted in 1915. He was invalided from service as a result of debility in August 1919.
