Robert Connell was born in 1897 and came from Northern Ireland. He was wounded on 7 June 1917 with a shrapnel wound to the face and was further wounded on 2 November 1917 with a Gun Shot Wound to the thigh. Connell was discharged on 24 February 1919; sold together with an Other Ranks cap badge.
