1936 water stained cover to Berlin franked 1927-45 5m. (2 and others floated off) with Haifa cancellations, on reverse German label Salvaged from the plane which crashed near the Island of Crete. Mail arrived wet. Officially sealed. Munich Postal Authority, 1937 (Sept.), two covers from the "Courtier" crash, the first, stamp floated off, from Haifa to Germany, with German cachet and Officially sealed label, the second from Jerusalem to Nottingham, franked 1927-45 13m. with violet "damaged by/sea water/in airplane/accident", 1937 (Dec.), two covers from the "Cygnus" crash to England or France, 13m. or 15m. frankings and both with different cachets; faults as would be expected
