1947 (12 August) embossed note paper headed "the palace, bahawalpur" bearing 1a. carmine vertical strip of five labelled "Submitted for Approval." and numbered 1-5, each with proof handstamp in different colour: purple, violet, green, red and black.
The reverse with printed note:
"Provisional handstamps (on stamps), approved by His Highness, the Nawab Ruler of Bahawalpur.
