1884 "three/cents" (small letters) on 4c. card to Hungary, cancelled by oval of bars, showing legible large "thaipeng/larut" double-ring d.s. (Type D2; 11.11.66) in opposite corner, Penang (12.11) and arrival datestamps; the card lightly discoloured. Scarce. Photo

Note: The 4c. brown cards were surcharged locally. Reportedly there were 750 cards with small letters and 500 with large letters produced, however, very few examples are recorded.
