1887 (6 Mar.) envelope from Wakema to Bassein bearing ½a. cancelled in manuscript only, the reverse showing "waikemah" c.d.s. unlisted in Proud and the only known example with this spelling, and arrival (7.3) c.d.s. The envelope a little bit soiled, though an important unique strike. Photo

Note: Wakema was opened as a district office under Bassein from 1883 to 1891, this is the only recorded cover showing any Wakema c.d.s. during this period.
