Conservation framed with UV plexiglass

Very little original British material is known to have survived from this film, as it came out just after World War II and there were still paper shortages.

This British gangster film was directed by John Boulting, and was an adaptation of Graham Greene's 1938 novel of the same name. The cast includes Richard Attenborough, who plays violent small-time gang leader Pinkie Brown. Pinkie murders a journalist he thinks is responsible for the death of a fellow gang member, and in trying to conceal the evidence, gets into trouble with not only the police, but also a rival gang.

Excellent condition, colours remaining very bright.
