Given a royal warrant to supply Osborne House when Queen Victoria was in residence and the brewery was rename Royal Brewery. The company was formed in 1887 when Walter Langton was taken into the firm. Merged with Strongs of Romsey in 1965 which itself was acquired by Whitbread. Together with a group of cancelled brewery certificates including Bent's Brewery, 18[89] to 18[96], Oldfield Brewery Limited, 19[23], and, Greenall Whitley and Co. Ltd., 19[60].Many VF (15).
