Great Britain: Monkland and Kirkintilloch Railway Company, a manuscript document dated 1824 being the 4th call of £100 for 10% of a single share, #63, small format, signed by 3 of the committee of management, embossed revenue stamp. The railway ran from the colliery at Monklands to the Forth and Clyde Canal at Kirkintilloch. It was the first public railway in Scotland and the first to use locomotive power. VF and rare. One of only 5 call certificates found.
