Victoria (1837-1901), Halfcrowns (3), 'Young Head' Halfcrown, 1874, Type A5, of inferior workmanship, young head left, rev. crowned shield within wreath, milled edge, 6h, 14.08g (ESC 692; 2741; Spink 3889), faint contact marking, speckled toning to somewhat frosted fields, a residual lustre beneath, good very fine; Jubilee Halfcrown, 1887, Jubilee bust left, rev. crowned shield within Garter and collar, milled edge, 14.15g, 11h (ESC 719; Bull 2771; Spink 3924), light contact marking to otherwise pleasingly lustrous fields, dark toning to the peripheries, good very fine / extremely fine; and finally, 'Old Head' Halfcrown, 1897, veiled head left, rev. crowned spade shield within collar, edge milled, 14.09g, 12h (Davies 670; ESC 731; Bull 2783; Spink 3938), light contact and pinmarking, yet a handsome cartwheel lustre, extremely fine (3)
