(x) William III, Solus (1694-1702), Crown, 1696 OCTAVO, third laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, wearing straight breast plate, rev. crowned shields cruciform, edge lettered downwards, 29.42g, 5h (ESC 89; Bull 995; Spink 3470), small die flaw to the left of S in GVLIELMVS, lightly bagmarked, yet toned, near very fine; also, Sixpence, 1697, third laureate and draped bust right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, large crowns, four strings to late harp, edge obliquely milled, 2.94g, 6h (ESC 1566; Bull 1233; Spink 3538), very lightly pitted surfaces under magnification, otherwise with an underlying and pleasing lustre, lightly toned, extremely fine, much as issued (2)
