1920s-40s, a small collection of covers (c.40+) contained in a green binder including envelopes from Basrah with boxed fee paid marking in black or violet (5), envelopes from Baghdad to Basrah with red "02", "08", "03" and "10" (2) franking marks, air mail envelopes (10) carried on various flights including "first inaugural flight/london-karachi air service/baghdad, 4th april, 1929", "london, basra, karachi/first flight, Imperial Airways "extension of england - india air service", "first slight/by k.l.m./bachdad - gaza", 1920 unused postal stationery envelopes ½a. on 10p. (3), 1a. on 20p. (3) and "1.e.f" ¼a. cards (3), 1a. card and ½a. embossed envelopes, all unused. A most interesting group.
