British War Medal 1914-20 (239 Pte. W. A. Davidson, 18 Bn. I.D.F.), good very fine

William Alfred Davidson was born in January 1882, the son of George Alfred and Caroline Louisa Davidson, his father serving as a Farrier in the 4th Light Cavalry. Having been baptised at Bellary in March 1882, he went out to Burma in September 1914 and was an Engineer with Arracan Co. Ltd., who operated at Moulmein. During the Great War he served with the 18th (Rangoon) Battalion until December 1917 (BWM only); sold together with copied research.
