James Henry Wiggin served with the 16th Battalion, Manchester Regiment during the Great War, later being transferred to the 8th Battalion, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment (British War and Victory Medals). He was posted to the 6th Battalion in Afghanistan but was to serve attached to the Durham Light Infantry.
