King's South Africa 1901-02, 2 clasps, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 (8017 Corpl: A. A. Roffey. Coldstream Guards.), slight edge bruise, contact wear, very fine

Albert Arthur Roffey was born at Birmingham in 1887 and attested with the Coldstream Guards on 26 February 1890 having previously worked as a printer. Seeing Home Service for the next decade it wasn't until the outbreak of the Anglo-Boer War that he was posted for Foreign Service. Entering the war in South Africa on 23 May 1900 he was to see action at the Battle of Belfast as well as serving at Cape Colony and in the Orange Free State (Medal and Clasps). Returning to Britain he was discharged on 10 July 1902.
