Great War Bronze Memorial Plaque (John Posnett), very fine

John Joseph Posnett was born and enlisted at Kingston. He served in Egypt from 5 April 1915 and was killed in action on 10 May 1916, aged 23 whilst serving with the 132nd Brigade, Royal Field Artillery. He is buried in the Mailly-Maillet Communal Cemetery Extension and was the son of James and Elizabeth Posnett, of 40 Beresford Road, New Malden, Surrey.

His MIC confirms the issue of a 1914-15 Trio however there is a further note, dated 28 January 1947, in which the British War and Victory Medal are found and scrapped.
