John Thompson served in France from 19 May 1915.

Charles Thompson was born in Benwell, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, the son of Mary Ellen Thompson, of 12 Gill St., Benwell, Newcastle-on-Tyne, and the late James Joseph Thompson. He died on 27 February 1918 and is buried in the Cremona Town Cemetery, Italy.
